From a media release:

Ever think you and your coworkers would make a great TV show?

AllScreen Entertainment Uses The Internet To Search For
Memorable Characters For The Next Great TV Series

How often have you walked out of an office or shop and thought it would make a great TV show?

Well that's what AllScreen Entertainment is looking for, in a new cross-country on-line casting initiative.

AllScreen, headed by co-producers Allan Novak (Punched Up, The Newsroom) and Barri Cohen (The Opener, Revamped) is looking for a business they can transform into a compelling documentary/reality network series with humour and heart. It's a genre that Novak, who also created Loving Spoonfuls, the grandmother cooking show, knows all too well.

"It could be a real-life version of The Office, Cupcake Girls, maybe even the next Kardashians," says Allan. "Urban, rural or living on water -- the field is wide open. It could be anything from a small group of characters with a high-impact business or a dull but incredibly funny office."

Adds Barri, one of Canada's top reality producer/directors, "it helps if the business has an interesting flow of stories or transactions that offer insights into fresh areas of our world."

• AllScreen is inviting simple, short video submissions via private YouTube links.
• For details and an introductory video please visit www.smallbizontv.com.

There will be ongoing released videos of top contenders and a full social media campaign.

The selected finalist(s) will be chosen in early 2012 and will be invited to collaborate with AllScreen to develop a compelling pitch to be presented to networks in Canada and world-wide.
