TORONTO-
Born in Zimbabwe now residing in Canada , Patience Chirisa is arguably one of the most inspiring young culinary professional from Africa. Founder of Wine Dine Africa cooking show on Rogers TV and Wine Dine Africa Magazine where she offers tips on Authentic African fusion style. She is also considered to be the founder of the modern success movement in Africa when it comes to promoting Africa in a positive light, just having recently hosted the first ever African Travel Expo at the Sheraton Centre, Toronto to promote travel to Africa and co-hosting several African Artists since 2000 including Hugh Masekela, Oliver Mtukudzi and Chiwoniso. Patience also has co-hosted several events including but not limited to African artists. She remains one of the truly outstanding rising entrepreneurs and model to the African youth globally.

Wine Dine Africa is a new chapter for Africans & friends of the continent. This is not a cooking show or magazine that just caters to one community or race but a huge cultural bridge that brings unity amongst all cultures through our love of food . As she describes it in her own words: "Wine Dine Africa is the first and only cooking show and magazine promoting Africa and African-fusion cuisine worldwide at this level ."

As a food professional, Patience feels a deep sense of responsibility to present African food to the Western world She lives her philosophy in her writing, speaking and her energetic commitment to promoting Africa in a positive light.

Patience is also a prolific author. Currently finishing up her book - African cooking @ home with exciting and easy to make recipes. This book will explore food from Morocco to Madagascar, Nigeria to South Africa, Congo to Zimbabwe, Sudan to Sierra Leone ...cooking ethnic food is getting very popular in the Western food scene. In this book Patience will play with traditional African recipes, incorporating Western Ingredients to preserve  the original recipe while enhancing it with flavoring and ingredients found locally in Canada,USA. UK, Australia and Worldwide. Excerpts from her future book will be published soon.

Patience's approach to cooking is simple: fresh, seasonal and local, organic where at all possible. Use the best ingredients you can afford, and do as little as possible to them. "African Food should taste of itself. Making and sharing African food is the best way I know to celebrate the joy of being African-Canadian."

In addition to her writing and event management Patience is a Mother, Analyst, African recipe developer and lifestyle writer with a humorous, hands-on approach to cooking in live demonstrations. Patience is available for food-and-wine pairing events on request in 2012.
