TORONTO JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL
May 7 – 15, 2011


One of the largest festivals of its kind in the world, the Toronto Jewish Film Festival, returns May 7 and runs through May 15.

• The full film schedule will be announced shortly, and all information will be available online at www.tjff.com/ as of Friday April 15th.

• The popular Early Bird (discount) passesavailable through the Web only - will be available until Thursday April 14.

  1. Hillel of Greater Toronto and the Toronto Jewish Film Festival are paying tribute to some of the many talented and diverse film schools in Israel during the 19th Annual Jewish Film Festival in Toronto. The 3-day Israeli Film School Spotlight runs Tuesday, May 10 – Thursday, May 12.

    The series will include 10 film screenings and Q&A with directors at two public receptions:
    Opening night reception, 10pm, May 10, with Director Orit Yaakobi, The Third Generation http://bit.ly/iomCBy
    Aroma Espresso Bar, 500 Bloor Street West
    Closing night reception, 10pm, May 12, with Director Miryam Adler, Shira http://bit.ly/iHi9Pl Aroma Espresso Bar, 2300 Yonge Street
    AROMA RECEPTIONS: limited space is available so the general public is encouraged to RSVP elad.dvash@hilleltoronto.org. Adults are free to enter with a movie tickets stub or pay $5 at the door.
    Students are welcome to attend the receptions and all movies for free with a valid student ID.

    Just as an added note - I'll be out of town for most of TJFF this year so I won't be able to post my own reviews, however I will have some posts about films and the festival itself in the next couple of days.
