OPERA ATELIER HOSTS SPECTACULAR 25th ANNIVERSARY GALA
Event raises funds to support opera education and outreach programs
Marshall Pynkoski and Jeannette Lajeunesse Zingg, Co-Founders and Co-Artistic Directors of Opera Atelier, will present its 25th anniversary gala at The Carlu on April 6, 2011. The evening will be created in the grand style of Versailles, and will be a celebration of 25 years of the world’s pre-eminent opera ballet company specializing in period productions of 16th and 17th century repertoire.
Funds raised will be used to support Opera Atelier’s education and outreach programs which have been offered without charge to students since the company’s inception.
In honour of the 25th anniversary, the evening will feature special performances by world-renowned opera singers Measha Brueggergosman, Michael Maniaci and Krešimir Špicer. Guests will also be entertained throughout the evening by Artists of Atelier Ballet and the young dancers from the School of Atelier Ballet. Host for the evening is Jeanne Beker of Fashion Television.
